Razer headset

My mate has a problem!
he has a razer barracuda headset, and he also bought the soundcard for it for optimal performance.
BUT the problem is that it sux playing with him, because the echo is massive, as soon as he talks, i can hear his game, but like 3 times as loud, and if i talk i hear myself 3 times as loud!
could the problem be that he has not removed his old soundcard? cause he wasnt able to.
i also know that there are ways to arrange it so that all the sounds he hears come directly into his microphone, and im suspecting that he somehow got that!
suggestions?

you must put in your sound settings that its a headphone maybe it thinks that its a 2 line speaker
thats why you have the echo

I have this every time I start my pc.

Solution is simple :

Open your configuration panel from windows, click on sounds, then microphone. Do Test Hardware. Et voila, problem solved.


( So @ configuration panel click on sounds & audiodevices and then speech. )

Didnt work for me :( my "new" soundcard has taken over my old 1, dont get why i get so loud eco all the time

its normal that he has echo in Teamspeak... reason: The microphone is to "sensitive" , if you put your Volume in windows to 3, the headset will turn on automatic, if you put it under 3-2-1 whatever, you cant play :P... its an known problem @ razer, dunno when they want to fix that shit .. Razer @selfpwned... maybe you can find in some help in google..

you can also check 2 posts out @ www.razerblueprints.com in the Razer Barracuda Soundsystem Threads...Same problems imo...
