CoD 2 key

I just installed cod 2 and I'm wondering in which file the key that I entered is stored. In et it's etkey, in rtcw it's rtcwkey... but I can't find where it is for cod 2.
I supposed that the key was stored in the same way as et etc. since it's also a Q3 engine game. :<

So could someone tell me where it's located? Thx.

Nope, can't find it either... But I don't know if it's actually supposed to be stored somewhere, just to be entered and approved.

open the game in multiplayer mode and go multiplayer options
click keycode or smth there
