He says they paid 9 dollars each, which equals 27. He then says you have to add the 2 dollars the other guy has in his pockets. First he adds something, than he substracts. That's not how you get to the answer loL.
That's what has to confuse you but if the room is 25 dollars each guy pays 8.33 dollars and not 9dollars. 8.33x3 = 25. All get 1 dollar back 25+3 = 28 and he keeps 2 himself. Im trying to keep it simple or something lol ..

But the point is that they paid 27$ for room (coz he stole 2$ )and not 25$.Sou you cant count from 25$.

there is this designedly mathematical mistake in it and its quite hard to catch it :>
