i have a problem with my external harddisk, when it's not connected my pc runs normal and programs do 2

but when it's connected every program that i start or w/e i open chrashes, my pc just crashes

my question is : how the fuck can i fix this, when my hard disk isn't connected :(

tbh don't think the prob lies in the drive, more in some faulty chipset/usb2 drivers... but dno...
