what cpu you have ?
i quess you have a radeon 9600, as far as i can see. and that's not good.
Cpu is Atlohn 2300+ (1.5 ghz)
Parent
afaik athlon xp 2200+ is 1,8 ghz
so i don't know what kind of cpu you have :/
Parent
well the namification (is that a word?) of these cpus is kinda confusing imo, i know its a 1.56 Ghz CPU and i think the name is Athlon 2300+ .
Parent
"A clock speed of 1866 MHz corresponds to an Athlon XP 2300+."
Parent
google: cpuz
that should tell you what processor / mobo / ram you got

if you are running unstable fps like you, I would recommend using direct input as it will increase the accuracy of the mouse on low fps systems, and the buffer makes it easier to aim while having framedrops.

Its called: mf_init.exe, i think you can find it on Aion's homepage.
Parent
the radeon 9600 is np, i played with both 9600 and 9800. Only difference is the loading times.

With that cpu don't expect to run 43 stable imho.
Parent
i have stable 50 :D
Parent
dude, i played on athlon barton 2800+ and it doesnt do 43 stable. most of the times, but not when you got nades exploding or theres a n arty / support on a map like goldrush. I could set it to 76fps and it was stable most of the times, but not when you needed the stable fps: when in combat.
Parent
if it's a 2300+, in aint that bad.
i have played on a 2200+ with radeon 8500 (which is fucking crap) and it gets 80-90 fps in all maps except from radar.
only when arty and stuff its no way :p
Parent
gpu doesnt matter in ET as long as you arent using some pci or mobo integrated shit
Parent
i know, but i was just saying :p
Parent
Q3 engine just wasnt made for a game like ET. ET:QW will run way better in the future, then ET will ever do.

play pacman
image: PacMan

your system should run that
76 is overrated :x
overclock your pc or buy more RAM
i lolled at the ram

got one of these in my room, now i have 125 fps stable

(21:34:0Cool (@[av]bani) we tried to get DI working but win32 is too buggy

fecking id games :'(
Parent
kk it seems to be not possible :/
I will buy a new pc somewhen....
71 fps should be enough
71fps would be a nice fps to cap at idd, lower recoil!
Parent
where should i cap it if i can get 1000 fps stable everywhere on all maps ?
Parent
I run same fps all the time, as it changes the mousefeeling (mouseinputs/fps gets spread different, reaction of mouse is a tad faster)

Besides, the 'lower' recoil isnt that much of a help as even the best pistol aimers like Tekoa use 100fps all the time. Besides if you are using a lower mpitch it isnt that hard to control the recoil imho :P
Parent
but 1000 fps lags, so give me a number :). my old pc was capped at 60, couldnt get it stable :/
Parent
just choose any number, preferable mouserate / fps = integer

ex:
500hz / 100fps = 5 ok

but thats just theory as the mousepolling rate never is stable. When using 250 I get an average of 200hz when tracking, only 250 when flicking.

So in practice:
250hz = 200hz / 100fps = 2 ok

dunno if that made any sense, should look at bottom of my mousesettings guide, theres a related journal there.

r_mode 3 ?
tbh i got 100stable with radeon 9200 se .
