Network Cable help

What "Cab" is a normal network cable? or is the "cab" just the amount of data it can take? I need to get one but dunno which one form ebay Link

well, any RJ45 cable will do. As for speed, CAT5 = 100mbps, CAT5e = 1000mbps.

Depends on his nic. I only have 100mbps on my other comp, and it's a bitch when i am moving big files between the two computers. But if he's only using it for inet, then yes 100 should be sufficient.

as long as u use straight cables and not cross, and they are cat5(e) then there wont be any problem.

Just a fyi was out today and found a little shop that sold it, €30 for 5 Foot long cable thats about 1.5 Meters. Gay innit.

yea i didnt buy it got it on ebay for €10, thats why i buy all pc stuff off ebay and not in shops here :D
