need a tool or whatever to test if the slot im using is usb 2.0 or 1.1

one is 12Mbps the other is 480Mbps... transfer a file and feel the difference ?

or check if you have a Enhanced usb controller installed...

you can set it hispeed or fast speed in bios imo

What about reading your mainboard's manual? And if you're going to test the speed, make sure that the device you use for testing supports USB 2.0 High Speed.
