Huhu my question:
I have stable 125FPS
so I use
rate 25000
maxpackets 100
but I have really really bad ethernet
dsl 2000 = Ping 98
but Ping is wayne , I know I lag/warp like hell
its not important which netsettings I use I lag all time
so my questio nwhat happend when I use
rate 16000
maxpackets 60
????
so my shoots dont lag and I aim otherway or stomhing? I can only see that my ping is lower not more,thx

IF you hit the rate limit, the server won't send one (or more) snapshot(s), resulting in YOUR world lagging (client needs to extrapolate).
my guess would be 125/3 = 42 packets
See if this works for you (Win XP): http://home.arcor.de/wiped_out/udp.msc
It shows you how many packets you receive (snaps) and how many packets you send.
If it doesn't: start -> run -> perfmon
You'll need to configure it to show UDP datagram (or packets) send/s / received/s.
Join a server, use the settings you want to and take a look at the graph.
