Journals
Hello, I am hellgoat. I like to play 3v3s. I play a lot of them. Every time I play a match on braundorf or frostbite, there are some people yelling "NO SIDE!" every time we plant and/or run the way they're not covering.
I usually bitch about it, saying there is no league anywhere where those rules are applied and that they're just made up by some lazy and useless retards who can't be bothered to cover more than one way. This has no effect though, and I'm usually being overthrown with "#care" "fu" "lol noob" and other less tasteful and well-thought arguments. Some people even refer me to the CB rules page to prove their point. To all those idiots, I write this journal.
I will give you the following proof of me being totally right:
Evidence #1: The rules for the ClanBase 3v3 ladder
No mentioning of ANY route not being allowed on ANY map.
Evidence #2: The rules for the ClanBase 3v3 OC
No mentioning of any route not being allowed on any map. (Basically the same rules as the ladders, but just in case someone might suspect otherwise)
Evidence #3: The rules for the ESL 3v3 EU ladder
No mentioning of any route not being allowed on any map.
Evidence #4: The rules for the ESL 3v3 Fall Playoffs Div. 1
No mentioning of any route not being allowed on any map.
Evidence #5: The rules for all ET-Cups
No mentioning of any route not being allowed on any map.
Evidence #6: A quote from Adacore
Now, just to make this clear to everyone: I don't mind if you skip playing with side in the praccs you play with your team. But fuck you if you want to do it versus my team.

at least i do it , if i know that they can go only main then i go and rape him ;)
even though we plant side rarely.
And if they don't know the rules, why the fuck do they keep arguing with me when I explain the rules to them?
It's people who have very definite and firm oppinion about something they don't know anything about. They haven't read the rules themselves, still they argue with me when I try to explain. I believe there's a word for that. And it's not noobs I mind. I mind ignorance.
*And yes the idea of not using a part of the map has been made up by lowskilled morons that got no idea how to cover two sides at the same time.
anyways if you break the unwritten law you have to stand the flame.... thats my oppinion :o
But I will not follow an unwritten law that's stupid.
Now, I'm just going to assume you refer to the widely used tactic of having a field op and two medics outside the main entrance?
FIRST OF ALL. That's not a "major step." It's not even a step. A "step" of the map is blowing the main. That means you change the area of where you fight.
Just rushing out getting killed by 3 people just shooting into a bottleneck isn't a "step". It's a tactic.
Dude, it's completely the other way around. Lack of aim and/or teamplay is what's forcing teams to use that only tactic they know for that stage. It's simple, it doesn't really require any teamplay at all and you don't really need to "aim" since it's a reeaal bottleneck.
A team with good teamplay and/or aim would be good enough to be able to cover TWO entrances.
Same thing as the kids shouting main only @ valhalla, LETS SEE HOW CAN AIM THE BEST!!!
n1 i got teh reply skillZ................ NOT
PSSST! IT'S BRAUNDORF! AND USE SIDE CAUSE THEY DON'T PRACC WITH IT!
ive always said that.
It's good to agree about it before the game
A map like goldrush for example, "no back"... Shittiest 3v3 map ever! woohooo!
Id like to write more about the topic but HellGoat already said everything
no need to whine, just ignore their whine after they lose the round
Its fucking retarded when you come to a map like Frostbite 3v3 and ppl say no side...LOL its been played in NA for fuck knows how many years and with side each time..its part of the map.
When people say "no side" on FB, sometimes they even make stupid rules like "only axis can go side" "you can only go side AFTER you grab docs" or sometimes "you cant go side at all".
yeah and your totally right about that "why practice the map with no side, if there is side allowed in offi" defeats the whole purpose of scrimming/practising in the 1st place
my 1st 3v3 offi I actually thought the rule was no side because so many dumb euros insisted on no side in scrims
Much love for HellGoats!!
