unexpected? not.. in last season Azure aka overdose forfeited all matchs or didnt win any game in group... so.. if they didnt anything in 1st div, they have to be in lower season...

anyway if u want EC qualifiers u have to play in ladder / get nice results in other cups... overdose did something?
