windows xp problem!

ok, last 2 hours i have been fighting with windows.....got blue sreens and couldn't start windows at all
i had windows xp professional installed, but don't have the disc anymore. so i repaired the installed windows with windows xp media center edition disc. now i got some questions:
1. could this fact cause problems since my system seems to run a lil bit slowly atm?
2. i got like 50 processes now in the tast-manager (prolly most features of media center edition)...how to disable them? (ofc i don't want them to run again after restart)

1. new drivers installed / drivers broken
2. ram jumped out of the slot / isnt properly inserted
3. hdd cant be read properly
try to press f8 @ startup then:
"Letzte funktionierende Konfiguration" (sry for german but my english sux and royal understands german)
aber das problem habe ich ja jetzt behoben
