Tachtig procent van de geregistreerde films waarin seks met dieren wordt getoond, wordt verspreid vanuit Nederland. Dat blijkt uit een onderzoek van Het Algemeen Dagblad. Het maken en verspreiden van pornofilms met dieren wordt binnenkort strafbaar in Nederland. Seks met dieren is nog altijd toegestaan zolang niet bewezen kan worden dat het dier eronder lijdt.

Volgens producenten en oudmedewerkers is de dierenseksindustrie een miljoenenbusiness sinds de komst van het internet. De dieren die meespelen in de Nederlandse films worden speciaal getraind en krijgen volgens een ex-producent de beste verzorging.
