can someone explain to me what it exactly does and how you know if you should have it set to 0 or 1 :/

u should set it to 1 if u experience input lag - 0 on the other hand will give u a fps 'boost'

?waiting for some frames to sync something? anyway, the cvar that has the biggest influence on fps (except for com_maxfps and r_finish :D). Or r_allowsoftwaregl 1 was like uber fps killer on my old pc (100 -> 20 fps) but it does nothing oh my currwnt comp.
