Two unanswered cfg questions

1) With most configs theres this line at a certain distance where things get less sharp and rly blurry, i once found a cfg that didnt have this. Does any1 know whats causing this and how to change it?

2) Im pretty sure this question has been asked before, but whats a good quality/ performance settings regarding AA and AF?

i have : r_textureMode "GL_LINEAR_MipMap_NEAREST"
should i remove the mipmap+ nearest?
