I think it was a great episode, we've seen a minor battle between 2 heroes (sylar and peter) so that's a new one.
Now sylar knows he has competition :D
Also the viewing point on the nuclear explosion changes so I think by the end of season 1 we will get a really different picture than in the beginning.

when sylar started to explode, hiro tried to cut him, but sylar regenerated, so sylar got claire's powers...
