Setting up an ETTV server

Hi all

Im trying to get a ETTV server setup for my clan, with no luck at all. The problem is we have a dedi but that runs on a windows platform. So Im asking for some help, as im at a loose end with this. So if anyone has had passed experince with this please pm or any useful tips just reply!

Thats what I thought, but is there no other way to get it working? other than to switch to Linux

Don't know, I'm not an expert. All I heard was that ETTV and Windows didn't work together. I guess your only option is running ET on a Linux box.

Well it really should not matter on which platform you have it.
Just copy these files http://ettv.anime.net/ettv-beta2.zip or some new ones(beta9). Start your dedicated ETTV (master) server with ettv.exe, you will need to modify your config.

beta 2, beta 9? latest beta is 13 which does not like windows.

I got it working but for some reason it kept crashing when someone did /follow x ingame

Are you looking to set up an ETTV slave ( the servers people connect to to watch a match ) or an ETTV master ? ( the servers on which ETTV matches are played, and to which ETTV slaves connect )

Both as we would like to promote our Clan and Sponsor, by showing ettv matches. Also we would like to be on ettv more as we are doing alot of offies.

tbh both are useless with windows, master servers lag like hell and slave servers regularly crash so...

you cannot solve it, you need to get a linux server, and vmware is a bad solution too
