sygate firewall

anyone using it? when it's enabled, i have these problems:

msn doesent work at all, even if i allow it to use net
i can't upload files via web pages (i.e. imageshack)
i can use ftp programs, but can't upload anything through it if sygate is enabled

whenever doing some of these, i'm forced to enable "Allow all" which basically turns it off

I use it and I don't have any of the problems you mentioned. It's the best software firewall imo =)

I was just stating my personal opinion since I had alot of experience with firewall changes. :-O

ftp uses not only port 21 but port 20 also, if it is in normal active mode. turn on passive mode in your ftp program, or allow incoming connections on port 20 in sygate. see the difference here:
