Nationscup captains.

Alot of whine about the nationscup captains.

The norwegian ET Community will vote for a new captain soon. Im only registered as captain since i was captain last season, and we havent had a new vote yet.

Alot of the nations whine about the captains, and alot of players say they havent even voted for the captain etc.

Well.. fuck off with the whine and gather the votes from ur community then. 5th may is last day for announcement of captains to the Nationscup admins, and im 100% u can change the captain that is allready announced on this xfire news.


Just gather the votes and get the captain ur community want.. then u wont have anything to complain about anymore...

I think we should have the same votes as we had in the South vs West, but then for each nation. I mean, if I check them out, I see people that just aren't really the right one to fullify the place of a captain.. Furthermore I'd rather see the Nationscup of clanbase in stead of this one, I think the NationsCup of Clanbase has just got a flair or so, atleast it makes you think you're really fighting for the honour to be the 1st one, I think you could consider this one rather as a funcup for the nations..

u rather see a nationscup from clanbase which wont happen before january 2008, then see a 6on6 nationscup now?

ET nationscup has better map pool then clanbase is running atm, so i dont think this will be a bad decision.

I dont care about that, but getting one year off is ok aswell.

But I think the feeling you get with the real NationsCup is just indescribeable.. It gives you the idea it's for real, and IMO, the map pool shouldn't be critisized, everyone whines nowadays that supply is overplayed, and we take it in but we get some new maps to give it a new style and that ain't good aswell. Thats quite demoralising for us and the community shouldn't be such harsh in that case.

For UK captain it seems you have to be active on the gamersnation forums.... which tbh have more shit talked on them than crossfire journals which is why i avoid them :)

Atleast they are organizing a little vote or something, here in the Netherlands NxM was just simply the on who came up with the initiative to create a NationsCup, with the thoughts that CB won't make one, and he just thought: "Well, no one has talked about it yet, and why can't I be the captain?". And so, he made himself Captain..

Later I joined the #Et.nl channel and almost none of the previous season players wants to play under NxM, gg holland, we'll get a team with some random players. ;x

so talk to the players u say wont play under him and ask who they want as captain..

make a manual list or something. I did that last season, contacted every norwegian player (ok ok, there arent as many norwegian players as NL players.. but u can still get to contact pretty many), and ask who they want as captain.

Im sure NxM will step down from captains position if the NL community wants another captain.


Either do something about it, or stop the whine imo!

It ain't really whine, I'm just stating a fact. But the teams have to be created in a way that they gave great potential to win a cup, a nationscup to be precise in this case. With NxM as captain this ain't really working. I mean, we won 2 seasons ago, and we had a great lineup, previous season team NL played a bit less and therefore they got knocked out, which was ok. But having NxM now it can only get worser because of his experience within the team.

All respect to nxm btw, great guy, but this is just too much

EDIT: How can I do something about it as just a random dutchie that enjoys playing ET? I mean, I'm not the type of guy that gets into Team NL, I'm not skilled enough and if I'd be skilled enough I'd sttill not go into the team. It's up to the members of the team to decide which captain they want, and not that someone that organises the cup becomes a captain without asking around.

And if the community is behind u in what u are saying about nxm, im sure the community can find a better captain, and NxM has to step down.

well. Get them to vote again then. With u on the voting list, and write in topic of UK-channel that everone has to vote for captain by thursday 2nd may or something..

its not a big problem to get a new vote going on..

then u just write a list in word or excel.. with the player name and their vote..
