vent 2.3 = lag

I got a problem, maybe anyone knows a solution.

When using the "new" Ventrilo - Version 2.3.x - i'm lagging like hell. My Upload is way too high and speaking is completely impossible. If i mute myself, my ping is still way too high but at least playable (usually 48, if i mute myself ~110, if i'm not muted it jumps up to 500 and stuff)

I never got a problem with Vent 2.1.x, only with the new version. Is there anyone with the same problem, who knows a solution?

It's not the version, it's the chosen codec. It's chosen on the server IIRC, so gl with that.

not sure, i don't know many vent 2.3 servers as most vent servers i know are still 2.1 (except gamersnation)

if it's your server, try to change the codec or ask admin change it... just to try it out
