so, when i play with r_mode 7 evrything looks nicer but i feel like my comp isnt registring evrything i do prefectly (i think). Does this make any sense and should i play with r_mode 6? Or is it just a mental problem? :))
For instance, if you play r_mode 4 @ 85hz and change to r_mode 6 @ 85 Hz, it wont change your sensitivity. BUT if you change to 120 Hz, your sensitivity will be raised. After this, the fps matters as well.
higher fps gives a higher sensitivity.
Don't forget to sync, like 76 fps 85Hz, 125 fps 120 Hz OR DO YOU USE TFT??? Then this syncing is no issue.
Hope this helps your thing/feeling prob...
So we have atleast 3 factors:
r_mode
r_displayrefresh
com_maxfps (make sure you reach the com_maxfps setting, otherwise your fooling yourself)
My 19 inch CRT p900 Compaq doesn't like 100 Hz. When I move my mouse up and down I see screen errors, like a horizontal shaking line... On 120 Hz it's good. And 86 FPS 85 Hz is also good, but then my sensi is lowered. I play 125 FPS - 120 Hz usually.
FPS drops make you think that things don't get registered. Check lagometer/drawfps 300 for that. Bad server is end of story, can't help that.
Weird stuff :P
I changed r_mode 4 to r_mode 8 same displayrefresh, no difference in sensi ??? wtf
The only thing that changed my sensi was displayrefresh change...
Oh and then I tried r_mode 3, and my sensi changed a little... :S weird shit indeed. Opposite of what I thought..
r_mode 3 = 640 * 480
r_mode 4 = 800 * 600
r_mode 6 = 1024 * 768
r_mode 8 = 1280 * 1024
monitor resolution.
