Is it really worth it for the NCB for a few years?
You've to accept it's extortionate no matter what till you're in yer 20s. The cheapest we could find was to not have the car in my name & for me just to be a named driver.
You certain you'll make that extra expense back? 4 years of £2k when you could've had it £x cheaper - just check all your bases, especially if you've only a choice of 1 company.

but i spose thats what you get with a good insurance firm, some places are bastards when it comes to paying out if you have a crash
also your house might be placed in a "high crime rate" place and if it isnt in a garage etc it will keep boosting it up
It already has a sports front from the manufactuer so i wont do it up too much....

EDIT: just did a quick quote for me on my own policy and it was £2400 3rd party o0!
but we changed the insurance -> now my mother is the "owner" and we only have to pay something like ~900-1000 euros ;)
