prob with steelsound 5h v2 usb

If i put my usb switch on my mircophone i got on ventrilo a peep and if i remove the usb switch of the cable my microphone is good only a little bit soft.

Is my usb switch broke or is this normal with the 5h v2 usb?
Anyone knows how to fix it?


Steelsound 5H v2 USB gaming headset.
Soundmax = driver for soundcard

its normal, I had the same thing (using it without USB now)
I'd recommend push-to-talk on comms if you want to use USB anyway

the peep sound doesn't irritate (you and your mates) that much ingame when using p2t (since the game sound is louder and you're paying more attention to the game than that sound)
but indeed its not gone 100%

ive got the 5h v2 not the usb version since ive got a X-Fi Xmod so cant help you soz :P

mate ur prob is that u have probably set wrong output / input device , change it on vent , ts and system . If beep wont disappear , play with opened ts ( no need to connect there ) and connected vent .
