Hard to explain tbh... maybe we're just more harsh people here? :) Although most of metal bands get their influence from Norweigan black metal and Swedish death metal I guess.. And you can't them count in Eastern naabs :( (I guess even now Norway is the biggest black metal export country in the world)

Metal (atleast here in Latvia) here is more like second culture to the club music and other jumper shit-stuff (no offence). We've even had pagan metal band as one of the finalists in "Latvia's best rock band" ofcourse won gay group "Prata Vetra"... :X
