Weird lag

So, in a pracc today I tried setting my cl_packetdup to 0 instead of 1 as I'm on 100mbit, a very stable one as well so there shouldn't be a problem. However, a few mins after I had changed things started getting weird. I got huge lag spikes, got random 999s (only for a millisecond) and now everyone I live with has got slow internet with packetloss. I ping 25-5000 to our ventrilo and high to all the servers I checked in ASE except Efterlyst.

I keep getting kicked by PB for Key Packets Lost so I can't play even if I want to.

I of course tried changing my packetdup to 1 and I tried doing a cvar_restart and then exec my config again but nothing works. I've also updated my PB.

Is it even about the change in packetdup, and if so, what can I do about it? If not, what else could it be?
