The dock-bg is really crappy, get yzdock with glass from stefanka if you want something similar but 10x as good looking. The bar itself is also way to big, why not slim it down a bit? You'll still see what it says but it wont look like youre running windows in 800x600.
The CD-playing got way to big text size, just makes it look even more like 800x600. And why not put it in a corner so you wont have the text fuck up any wallpaper you'd like to use?
Get a mediaplayer that you can control even when you're got some windows open, to have it positioned like that...
Your name in the lower left is for what? An ftp-drop or something? Or is it just there to keep you from forgetting your nickname? In any case get rid of it :S

Haha what? :D This pic is 700kb, with .jpg it can be 70kb without any major change in quality. Just get it, if you want to show pictures online, do it in .jpg.

a .jpg with the same quality will be about 350-400 kb. If your connection can't handle the extra 300 kb from .png then it's your problem, it's not the fucking end of the world!
Also maybe he only has paint. The .jpg's that come out of that are horribly SHIT and the only viable saving method there is .png
Yup just checked, looks just as good as a jpg with 75kb except the backgrund that happens to have a fading change in colors which gets fucked up. Try to understand we're talking a desktop-pic here that will be looked upon for 10 seconds. It wont be used on any homepage, no one will pay for it, no one will look on it twice so please tell me why its so intelligent to make it 10x as big and thereby make its loading time 10x as long. Its really not a discussion of taste we got here. Its a god damn fact no matter who you ask - got some small pic you want to upload for viewing - make it .jpg.
Background got ugly because of the fading change in colors yes, also many desktops are like that nowdays so it makes sense to raise the quality some. Can still be under 200kb with no problems at all if you think of what the picture is beeing used for. And even if you want it to be 400kb to have about the same quality... why not make it 400kb jpg then instead of 700 png? :)

Yes Ive read that but Im still discussing .jpg vs .png. From which can I get the most quality/size? If hes using paint and cant use it because of that so be it, but thats something we dont know. Still trying to get my point out - you got some pic you want to show - do it in .jpg.
