mx510 500Hz

Ok well i've only just figured out how to change the Hz on my mouse :o above 200 anyway. Only thing is after applying the 500Hz i cant play ET for very long, it varies but after a while the mouse just stops working ingame. The optical is still on but nothing is happening, same for the desktop... requires a reboot or removing the usb and putting it back in...

yeah anyway? is it cuz it's an mx510 or what? :S

i guess its too high a rate your mouse is capable of handling... just lower it again to be safe

its not normal, mx510 should do 500hz fine.
Some mouse that are broken work fine on ps/2 so you might have a broken cable :'(

It cant go over 450hz yep
(same for mx310 and g1)

-> 250 hz !

had that too, was like that for 2 months, then the mouse never went on again.

this happend to me, exactly the same, now i can tell you your mouse will never work properly again :D

My old mx510 started doing the same thing aswell, so i bought mx518 instead : <

Now it all works fine
