no offence, but I doubt that you've software worth a few thousand €. :P

Photoshop CS 2 9.0 = 259€
After Effect 7.0 = 509€
Sony Vegas 6.0 = ~450€
Cool Edit Pro 2 = ~200€
Motion 2 = ~500€

don't know anything about the other programs used in decimated tho. :P

already took the photoshop cs 2 student edition. and even tho it's still alot of money for a 19 year old. :-P

Adobe Creative Suite Premium costs about 300e for students here in Finland... Not cheap, but compared to the normal price tag of 2000e, it's not that bad.

Interestingly, I read a thread about some Finnish student, who contacted Adobe, and tried to clarify whether or not it is possible to use programs licensed under a student license for commercial projects. The answer he received was a bit confusing, but according to Adobe's representative, programs originally developed by Adobe (Photoshop, AE etc.) can be used for commercial projects, but programs bought from external developers (Macromedia Flash etc.) can't.

Pretty weird terms, assuming the thread starter (or Adobe's representative) was correct in his interpretation of the license...

Na, my point was that I doubt that max himself has all programs, he uses for his moviemaking, orginal. :P

I was at some adobe cs3 roadshow here in belgium, it wasn't that expensive :p below 3000€

A lot of design companies don't mind purchasing adobe products, and get them cheaper.

That's where all my licenses come from :P.

From having some problems with installing after effects, I think the solution was uninstalling that mac video player thing quicktime, and uninstalling some megacodec pack, no idea what they did to it, but it fixed my problems and those of hundreds of others =]

mine is legal :D except maya and c4d 10 which are copies :P

u cant produce work with illegal software for web sites and such coz sooner or later u will get caught (if your operating as a freelancer).

I'm not entirely show how you would ever get caught, although I do have a legal license...

Care to elaborate? It's not like it hides a "LOLZ PIRATE PHOTOSHOP" in your PNG's :\.
