Hello dear Crossfire community,
yesterday, I got a problem with my new RtCW which I downloaded as an .ISO file. I installed it and updated it to the latest version. When I tried to enter the Multiplayer, it went into a green screen just like ET is doing when you go into the game. For this very short moment I thought: "Ok, just loads."
Then nothing further happened. The game just freezed and I had to close it via Taskmananger.
Then I tried to enter the Multiplayer through the Singleplayer, where you have the option to go to Multiplayer too. The Singleplayer seemed to work fine...clicked on Multiplayer...loaded and freezed again. I tried to enter OSP through Options -> Mods -> osp...You'll never guess what happened! No, it didn't freeze! When I clicked on it, the game loaded and went back to the Singleplayer screen.
How can I solve this? Any ideas? Couldn't it have something to do with the fact that I am using an image file of RtCW?
Additional infos:
- I updated to version 1.4, but when I go to Singleplayer and open the console it shows that I only have version 1.32.
- I used a keygen and the RtCW setup said that it would be valid. Could it still be that I have to use a real, unused key?
I would be very pleased if someone could save me out of my nightmare.
Love, vaGgi
