fish ffs what is your problem :D
in any other game, you'd ban anyone who got caught cheating at any point
i dont see why people are so tolerant of cheaters in ET unless its because they worry that they may get hooked themselves for past/future cheating
i dont really mind if a guy who used a public hack on a 68 man shrub server is banned or not, regardless of his name being
killerPL_43 or 
mystic - because, honestly i havent cheated so i will be unaffected
sure it would suck to loose 20% of the competition players if they were all found to have cheated 5 years ago but if you get caught breaking rules you should recieve the right punishment

ET is just used to cheaters, and dont care if one of their idols cheat.
A: a fun game to play, or B: a tolerant, and including game that thinks the best of everyone and lets everyone have a 2nd chance..
I wouldnt mind losing 20% of all the players if that left us with a cheatfree game, even if only half of them ever actually used a cheat.
When you try a cheat, even if its just on a public you know the risks, and if you are stupid enough to get caught, then that should be your problem.
Sadly it aint possible, but alteast zerotollerance would let us get rid of most of them..
If you belive they all changed and transformed into honest players after serving a 6 month ban, youre (imo) stupid or ignorant.
