I haven't seen Bleach yet, so I don't know. But the last series I really enjoyed was Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien (probably very different though :)) and currently I'm watching Monster, which is very good.
You can't say that something is as good as Bleach or it isn't because this is the only anime kept in this one exact style. And, anyway, everything depends on your taste.
If you liked Bleach then watch Naruto- it's a long ongoing shonen as well.
Well, havent watched Bleach, anyway try One Piece, in my opinion its better than naruto at the moment and if you havent seen it yet, you are busy for a while because you have to watch 312 episodes. :d
If you like mecha animes you could try code geass, black lagoon is awesome too, though its a totally different subject.
If you like bleach try: Naruto, Fullmetal Alchemist, Death Note(Edit:p)
