software help needed

ok, so i'm setting up my system so that it is linked to the tv in order to use it as a second screen for displaying movies whenever i want. And also hooked it up with the surround system so i can play music via the boxes throughout (spelling ?) the house.

Now the problem is I'm running XP and I wonder if it's possible with anny kind of software or drivers from soundcards to assign the output of my sound in certain applications so that the guys at the tv don't here the music playing and none of them hear me playing on my comp.

As I heard this is not possible with xp, but maybe with vista, not sure (info on this would be helpfull) but if it were to be possible via drivers or even on linux. Let me know plz!

Thx in advance,

Grtz, psy

maybe lazio should start to stop telling stories he has never doublechecked. If I remember well btw, I gave him the correct version before he came in contact with you.

But apparently he still hasn't grown up, trying to make fun of me whenever he can behind my back. He even removed me out of the line-ups from my own team in his profile, though he forgot ot delete me as a buddy, he kinda dissapointed me there :D

never the less. Try to get your facts right and then i might consider answering your question instead of taking the opportunity to flame lazio a bit ;)
