You gotta do 13 years of school to get your 'abitur' (a-leves as my dictionary tells me). dunno what its called in other countries tho. ;-p

it's not the same, abitur is when you graduate from secundary school, that you have to take an exam that concludes the entire summary of everything you have seen in your past 6 years (your entire secondary school that is). We, in belgium and the netherlands, don't have such a thing, we only have to take an exam of the sixth form.
Or am I wrong about the abitur? my german teacher told me that so...

lol? in the netherlands you have an exam in the 6th grade that counts as 50% of your final result and it covers everything from the 6th grade, but the 6th grade is like a recap of all 6 years.

the other 50% are marks scored at "PTA" tests... those are made in the 4th, 5th and 6th grade.

ist dieses Wintersemester noch ohne NC, aber höchstwahrscheinlich wird er bald darauf mit NC belegt, da schon jetzt ein "Run" auf diesen Studiengang besteht.
Und ja es hat mit Steinen( u.a. Georessource) zu tun, da sehr viel Geologie beinhaltet ist.
