atm i've got a 75 herz 19 inch tft and i was wondering if a 100 herz 17 inch crt ( most likely to be 17 ) actually makes so much difference
i heard tekoa saying smth like that he sucks atm due to playing with a tft

Try this ;) it's fun to measure the capability of your own eyes
that 100hz is not the problem of your jerkyness can be shown when you turn vsync on .. both 100 and 120 should be fine.
topic: never played @ tft
but 75hz @ crt also sucks
100 = much better..
A few weeks later I got sick of using a plank for a desk, so I moved into the living room and hooked my laptop upto the 7 year old crt. Even though it's 15 inch, even though it was only 60hz, even though the screen was curved, it still looked amazing. There was more clarity and depth, more snap and visual feedback, there was more of everything. Pretty much instantly I felt a leap in skill: having a desk and a stable mousepad probably contributed to that somewhat, but the advantage of being able to see the game clearly can't be overlooked.
Maybe high end tft's differ from my laptop, but from the numerous complaints I've heard I doubt it very much. Even if they do, compared to a decent size crt, tft's are still very expensive. The only down side to crt's is finding a place that actually sells them.
So, if I were to give you a definitive answer, I would say "Buy a crt", but there's one more thing to consider: LAN's. All lans use tft's nowadays, so by using a crt you may be putting yourself in a major disadvantage versus someone who exclusively plays on tft - They won't notice when that everything's blurring at the LAN, but you will, they may even see an improvement, the provided tft's could be of a higher quality: but by using a crt, you almost guarantee yourself considerable discomfort should you ever wish to attend a LAN.
In summation: if you want the best gaming experience, pick crt; if you'd like to more competitive at a future lan, pick tft - But pick a good one!
If you switched to crt right now, you would, almost certainly, notice a big improvement in visual quality - But that doesn't necessarily mean your game will improve. The main reason tekoa is finding the switch hard is that his eyes are used to the clarity of crt, once he adjusts he'll get back to his old skill level. That being said, it could be that by switching to crt you would also require an adjustment period, during which time you would no longer possess the same skill level you do now - Eventually you would return to your original level, with only the most modest of improvement.
I would recommend sticking to tft, as you will no doubt be underwhelmed by the advantage a crt affords. If you look into it, the only people who ever complain about tft's, are the ones who have just switched from crt - People who have been using tft's for a long time will normally say they can see just fine.
It's a different matter entirely if you're using a shit tft though.
wait...
whatever will be next, it just has to be better
i used to play with 120hz and 125fps but now its 120hz and 100fps , not so smooth but hey - only way to get 100 real packets sent..
and well my laptop cant get stable 125 all the time , but does stable 100 so...
-> 63 packets ?
will test it, but can only get 120 @ 800*600 :(
100fps 120hz + 100 maxpackets = 100packets sents.
and 800x600 is best resolution anyway :)
