memory sticks and stuff

So i have this 1Gt memory DDR2 in my pc atm, its like 533 Mhz. I would like to buy another stick/block so it would be 2Gt DDR2, but i want some answers to my questions.

1. Does the both memory sticks/blocks need to be EQUALLY the same? Or can it be like one stick with 533 Mhz and another with like 800 Mhz, PLEASE SOMEBODY HELP ME, im noob with this stuff..

I dunno but I guess they should be the same, it's like wearing 2 different socks
but if i have like one is 533 Mhz and the other 800, does it go like 533+800/2=650Mhz overall or what

I guess your pc won't boot, but you can always try :)

Read biqq's comment. In addition, if you are unlucky, there can be some troubles. It's even possible that you are wasting your memory as it needs to support dual channel...

when you put a 533mhz and a 800mhz together the faster one will be set to the same level as the 533mhz, afaik. buy a 2gb pack for about 70€ and be happy with it. :p
Thanks!!! At last some good answers, thats what i needed!
