Playback issues / test

Hi,

messing around with megui again.

Aim: create a version of Zaigon TRUE HD thats pretty playable but still lookin nice.

Specs: 1080p (25 fps) that means

1920 by 1080 25 fps

i suggest using coreavc (use tutorials from cf)

Would be nice to know who actually can play it back and maybe some feedback from ppl using HDtv's how the picture quality is.

You wont hear sound!

70mb/min :DDDDDDDDD
Running fine for me with VLC.
Really lol at those who haven't read the filename.
played with mplayer,
nice quality, nice colors (expected that at 70mb/1min)
but its playing it terribly slow.
vlc shows nothing at all.
specs:
2,53 ghz
1 gig
7600gt
as i said in irc i dont have any problems playing the clip...
quality looks better (motion blur) that the hd 720 version.... filesize is a bit too big.. but... i like it

@ cheasy, go to tutorials and read my tutorial... then it works without problems
72 megs for true hd is not really big :)

are you addicted to encoding?
My good old Athlon XP @ 2300 MHz was able to play it at about 40% of the original speed with CoreAVC. Looks nice, even though upscaling can only take you so far...

Interesting link related to the subject: http://www.general-cathexis.com/interpolation.html
upscaling with lanczo4Resize gives you very nice results. I cannot see anything bad about the picture quality. I was pretty surprised how good this turned out.

thx for the link, ill have a brief look at it!

n1 quality plus no lag at all with my geforce 7600go + intel core duo :}
Doesn't lag at all for me, very nice quality etc but I;m sure 90% of people won't be able to play this without lag and the size for a full movie using this quality would be unrealistic...and just..well...ehe
