make sure the port from limewire is opened in either your firewall and/or your router

you can check it like this:

firewall:
go to internet options, program settings, and check the port from limewire, enable it

router:
enter your ip in your adress bar (preferrably in internet explorer) and check there in your port settings

in both cases it can be that you have to add a rule so that it "learns" the port number and how to handle it...
