im willing to buy a new pc

because games lag a lot :(
especially games built on the quake engine

so is this a good pc with a nice price ?

its a german site but i think you can read the specifications without knowing any german

you can of course recommend me other pc systems with a lower price which can handle 125 fps at quake3 and have good fps at qw:et

my pc actually works fine for writing and such
i just need a new one for gaming
what shall i tell my parents? :S
theyll never gimme a new pc just for gaming

There's an atelco shop here in my hometown, so I can buy it from there , not from the internetzzzzzzzz!

edit: thats probably meant with crossfire-tauglich (tauglich = suitable)

You can save some money by buying C2D E4300 and then overclocking it (or even go for Pentium E2160, smaller L2 cache doesn't really make any difference in games and it's cheaper).
Memories could have a slower clock (with that chipset it doesn't make any difference) and for saved money you could buy 8800 GTS with 640 MB.

Still, it's a very nice configuration for such price.

we have got several magazines in Holland about notebooks (such as consumentenbond.nl) which give you hints at buying computers/notebooks. So far, in all magazines i've read, (which are 4) they said that notebooks cannot cope with the gfx cards due to the warmth etc.
they might be fast, but the gfx just aren't as good as it should be.

I've been to so many tradeshows and gaming events where the commentators are forced to use notebooks to cast from and I can safely say they're fantastic. So good I bought one myself, and now want to buy another!
