Laggy ET

I'm on a wireless playing the game, So I guess that would be the main source of problem for me. I've got a 802.11g USB connected to my Netgear router in the next room. Problem in ET I have is I lag out ( go on 3D mode? ) and end up dying, I also stop randomly which pisses me off because the majority of time it's at some 'important' part.

Getting heaps of 600> ping every 10-20 seconds.
Can anyone suggest something worthwile?

I can't go back to using wires because my parents want the internet on their computer and my room is extended onto the house ( old garage ) so it would be too far to have the router in here -.-

i forced my parents to fill our house with cables just so that i could get wired inet!

Edit* can you talk with your admin? mabye he has just wrong wlan setup? Or it will by just your fault, wiruse or some programs woking in background

Well, The connection is shared by my computer and my parents (Same house) my mothers being the main computer with the router, me with the USB 802.11g

It's 8MB connection by ADSL24 (re-seller of Entanet) and the other computer is usually off when I play ET

there was something that it kept on looking for other connections, so you have to turn that off

you have to change some registryentry in your windows... had that aswell dunno which one it was though.. i also did a journal/thread about it on crossfire

depends on the router, your wireless card, the walls, other ppl on the router other ppl on the inet spying on you
