tbh gothic metal isnt technical, but thats my opinion. there are many better bands out there, but obviously when your lead singer looks like her that helps alot.

i agree with u on most goth metal, but just listen to this song

the classical elements in it, really, amazing, and this isn't your average goth-band. They even describe themselves more as a metalband using classical influences rather than a goth-metal band...

ok this is the way i see it:

I think the band isn't anything special, it looks alot like most gothic metal bands who often use classical elements. She is a good singer even though i don't like her style, but yes i can hear that she has a good voice. Just listen to any Carcass song and you will see that guitar can add so much more to a song, this is just basically 1 riff throughout the song and alot of synthesizer, which is not something i like.

I've never heard more creative songs than this band has. And you don't know me, but I can say, that I DO know quite much about music. I don't mean you have to like this. Of course not, but saying they got famous because of their lead singer is total bullshit. I really do admire Simone, but I admire more their guitarist Mark Jansen and the guys who writes their songs, because their songs just are something special.

Listen "Consign to oblivion" or "Fools of damnation" for example. Or if you don't, at least stop talking bs :P
