PC Help!

Okay so I go to boot up my PC this morning and my PC Screen says "No Signal" and then goes on standby (eventhough my PC is on). After getting my motherboard manual out I found some diagnostic lights on my motherboard which should have identified the problem however they were all lit up which the manual said meant "System Startup".

Has anyone had this problem before / know what I might be able to do to fix it. If you do please reply to this topic or PM on here as I cant check IRC or anything as im on a different PC.

EDIT: Fixed by unplugging power cord from PSU then plugging it back in :/

call engineer..he will solve your problem in no time
Glad i was able to help you : >
It means there's no communication between your computer and your monitor.
First thing to check is the cable, check the overall condition of it and ofcourse that it's securely plugged in at both ends.

Then take the cover off the pc case and check the GPU is seated correctly into the motherboard. Most modern graphics cards have 2 sockets to plug in your monitor, if yours does, try the other one.

If you still have no joy after this it's most likely a hardware failure. Check the graphics card in another pc if you can, if it works fine in a different machine then the next suspect is your motherboard.

Good luck!

edit: you made me type all that for nothing, when you hadn't even tried the "have you tried unplugging it and plugging it back in" rule#1 IT support line. You arseface.
Thanks, I was going through the process of testing each memory module and they were both working so I thought I would unplug the PC from mains power and go write this journal, I came back and plugged it back in again and it works! :D

Have had similar problem

For some time it helped turning on monitor manually after switching on pc, can't explain why though !

But it became quite annoying so I ended up buying new monitor ... that solved it totally!

have the same problem sometimes. don't know what's the reason, but unplugging power cord and plugging it back solves the problem
