8600GTS < 800 FPS

A few months ago i bought my MSI NX8600GTS.
Not the normal one, but this one is a bi overclocked in the fabric:

2.0GHz -> 2.1GHz
675MHz ->700MHz

I knew i would get easy more then 400 fps on some maps. And maybe the 500 with some luck :p

but..
..while making my new config I tested many different configs and checked the fps on each config as well. And i was really amazing about the fps. It was much higher then I thought or wished ^^

I know ET isn't only a videocardgame but also a proccesorgame:)

I wrote this journal for people who might consider about buying a new videocard and don't know how good each is. 8-) Ok ok, also because i'm just a bit proud on my 800fps :p

Too bad i'll quit ET before the day acozz experiences stable fps and internet and thus be hitable and not fire that garand at a rate of fire faster than a venom seriously wtfs up with gibbing in 2 bullets with a rifle? :P

I dont get what you are trying to say but nowadays you can play only max 125fps, it is forced by cb etc configs

how stable fps? my 5300PCX nvidia goes up to 180 for almsot everymap, stable 125fps everywhere beside radar n stuff

not rly.. it depends which cpu u have,.. and normaly if ur fps arent stable and are jumping from 125 to 180, isnt true that u can have more then 200

what's lol about that? core2duo 6600 en 8800gts and you get 1000fps (et's max) easy. hell even lower specs will get you 1000fps

my friend got core2duo 6600 and 8800gts (640 mb ram) and 2 gb ram (dual channel) and he can't get more than 125 fps stable or 1000 fps unstable ^^

then your friend sux at installing a pc.if you can't get 125 stable with those specs (even with the most fucked up high-quality cfg) then you truly suck at installing a pc or your hardware is broken.

Im gonna buy that shit, 8800GTS 640MB! Till now I had only 75 but really unstabled. I cant wait for 1000 fps (1000FPS isnt it funny?) :-D

just the 8800gts will not get you 1000fps.. you need a good cpu to get you that since ET is CPU intensive.

not in ET anyway since et will not go higher than 1000 and besides the fact that the engine of ET is capped at 1000, you will get major network issues when your fps goes higher than 450 fps or so.

dont ask me why/how
i can show u later when im @ home

i could also run timingmethod 2 @ etqw with 100 fps ;)
then after map-restart its down to 30 like normal
also no idea why :p
