Eehm... Seems normal? If you're worried about the K and M, it's just KB and MB, so that's nothing to worry about

its not always like that, to me firefox is actually lighter. got plenty of memory though.

explorer.exe shouldn't be using that much memory. Clearly, something must have crashed/happened in your system would was currently in use on the system memory. Instead of restarting, you could just end explorer.exe and re-execute it. That would probaly fix the problem.

How often does it do this where all these processes use so much memory and are you doing anything before/at the time that may cause it?

kk i'l give that a go next time it happens.

I dont do anything in particular, just the usual browsing the net, playing et. etc. its happens once a night aprox.

also the rookit picked these two

HKLM\Security\Policy\Secrets\SAC* Key name contains embedded nulls

HKLM\Security\Policy\Secrets\SAI* Key name contains embedded nulls

googled it and apparently there fine. but some1 who has had these have also had wowexe.exe.

Check what's running on startup on your machine (msconfig) and turn off anything that you are unsure of/don't want running on your system. Then do the usual scans; ad-aware, spybot etc. Google anything in your process list that looks unfamiliar, that always helps.

It basically sounds like you have a bit of spyware on your computer, as this increased memory usage only occurs when you do certain things at certain times. If there was something wrong with your memory it would be more random than that.
