You up for some ET later?
i had kruml twice btw :D
do you play gw btw?
edit: ill make the conclusions, you are a no lifer.
its not that addictive at all for the levling stops very early, because only if you reach the highest level (20) the game really starts.
and well, you can get a weapon for 2000 gold or one for 500000 gold, both the same strenght, but the second one is more beautiful.
so you dont need to farm 2 weeks to get the best weapon, but if you want a beautifull one, you do.
edit: btw, you cleared up some things for me...
and im sure now that EVERY MMORPG sux, not only WoW :D
guildwars is just made for the not fulltime players...
it probably offers lots of options and many new things (dont know, never played it)(and thats what makes it so addictive probably)...
now tell me, how can a game, that stops progressing after 20 levels (a short period of time by what you say) and having the most expensive weapon wont make you the best (cause mmorpg doesnt require ANY skill except time wasting skills and no lifing skill) be successful!
im sorry, i might be wrong and the game might be fun, but that just doesnt sound like that
its hard to explain, but i tried to^^
edit:
simple:
at wow you just need to get the things, if you once got them, you can easily kill everything.
in gw you got everything you need, but you have to get out how to use it ;>
all you have to do to kill someone is point at him and click the mouse!
(and i dont think they can dodge like in ET :>)
if you just beat an enemy he gets about 0 damage
you need the right skillcombinations and stuff to kill them, and you need to use them right. but first you need to get it.
i dont think you know what a skill is, so:
a skill is smth you can take 8 from with you. these things can heal you, damage the enemy, make you faster, make you have more armor, make the enemy have a healthdegeneration, make the enemy have an energydegenereation, and much more things.
from this skills you have to take the right in some combination, but you also need to watch the skills of the enemys for they maybe can interrupt you while casting a spell, so you need smth to stop him interrupting you, or maybe he has some healthdegeneration for you, so you need to stop it, and much more things have to be watched.you can also use some movement things to dodge spells like meteor and stuff, its pretty complicated.
i hope you see now that it is very complicated and needs much more skill than et.
btw read my edit if you didnt yet :D
OH PLEASE...
and the definition of skill is "the ability or talent to perform a task well or better than average" and not "smth you can take 8 from with you" (its not in english too)
you cannot compare "skill" in mmorpg and skill in a FPS game... (especially FPS like that requires good reflexes and good thinking to be good at)
look, i will not judge you, but by what you say, you are one of those guys that say "rite" when someone jumps from and kills them when they're in their little special camping spot... then they start accusing you for WH... but what if you seen his bullet tracers? what if you heard him switch a weapon or reload his gun... throw a medpack... make a footstep, throw a medpack (medpacks can be seen through some walls in supply because the walls are not thin enough so when you face the wall and throw a med/ammopack it flashes through the wall! i surprised nubs lots of times!!)
but why am i telling you this when you know it all!!
sorry but saying mmorpg requires more skill than ET was pathetic.
edit: soz for going rant -_- lol, just cant control it
i think its better to say that mmorpg's need another type of skill than et, and i think you are one of the guys that takes his opinions from what people say, for i dont think you ever touched World of Warcraft or Guild Wars. I tried to explain you what kind of skill GW takes and how fastidiously this game in fact is, but already before i wrote my first comment about it i thought that it wouldnt be understandable for anyone who a) doesnt want to understand it and b) never played that for more than 1 week.
i've been in this game for about 1 and a half year now and i think i can judge it better than you, for you didnt play it at all (yet).
so i think you are definitally not in the place to say "saying mmorpg requires more skill than ET was pathetic".
maybe you should check things closer and watch them better before getting and representing an opinion, or even taking an opinion based by things all others are telling. you can run in a knife by doing so.
btw you keep arguing :P
i think we will end on this, because we hijacked panda's journal and i think he is going to kill us both, sooo :P
