Steel Series SX Pro

since i have what most reviews define as possibly the worst gaming mousemat one can choose, the everglide giganta, i'm thinking about finally spending some money on gaming after 3 years and buying a new mousemat.

so, i don't want to order from abroad - to much hassle4me - so i checked the local shop and i saw this mousemat (Steel Series SX Pro). according to the description of the shop's site (and obviously the steelpad site), it's so pro it's like comparable to the silver surfer's board, with its fiber polished aluminium and stuff.

now, since i'm used to a hard non-cloth surface, i'm looking for a non-cloth mat (like the sx). it's either this, a steelpad 5l (which has a sort of thin plastic coating over the cloth), a steelpad s&s or - wait for it - an icemat 2nd edition.

now, according to the descriptions (and the prices), the sx is teh uber-pro ownage n stuff and i'd go for that one. but i don't want to spend money uselessly since i'm kinda broke, so i thought i'd ask here for opinions. anyone tried it? or perhaps other non-cloth mousepads? it doesn't have to be very big, i use high sens
