change dpi @ windows ME?

Well, some time ago I bought an mx518 but I didn't realize the setpoint version contained in the package might not work on windows 98 se/ME. Now my question to you is: is there a way (without having to use the buttons on my mouse) to change the dpi, like for example with another setpoint version?

lower window sens

1600 dpi * sens 5 = 800cpi

6th notch = sens 10
Thanks, I'll mess around with some settings a bit ;).

in case you didn't know you have to edit the sens through the registry setting, if you want to set it to an unequal number...

Regedit:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Mouse\"MouseSensitivity"

Start > Run > regedit > HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Mouse\"MouseSensitivity"

Omg, I love you man. Since I've only got an average of 35 fps and maxfps of 43, I had a lot of negative accel (at least, that was the sensation I got), now that I started using lower dpi, that sensation's almost completely gone! For the first time in a few years I can play with a much smoother sensation even on my shitty pc. Thanks.

<Felacio> errr ME, not /me
press the minus / + buttons on the mouse, they function without drivers.
3 settings:
lowest = 400
medium = 800
highest = 1600
Are you that guy who has 30 fps all his life?
Except when that homie plays at my home. Then you can see he's actually pretty skilled. Some people can definitely confirm this but I doubt anyone will do so. FKN HATERS!
