moviemaking question

If I rendered the tga's to huffyuv, and now I wanna render an avi for x264 in vegas, do I use huffyuv again or uncompressed ? does it matter? like I see uncompressed has some alpha channel thingie in vegas and huffyuv dosn't and I dunno.

plzzzzzzzzz no frags for you
You can't compress to x264 in vegas, you've to render uncompressed .avi first. After that you can compress it to x264 or convert to .mp4.
I know. I guess I was unclear.. Should I render avi in vegas as uncompressed or as huffyuv if I rendered the tga's to huffyuv also, or it dosn't really matter?

if you rendered with huffyuv in vdub, use huffyuv in vegas aswell
Parent
gotcha, but what would happen if I used uncompressed and should I change something in huffyuv settings in vegas?
Parent
it wouldnt make sense, since it wouldnt be uncompressed would it?

otherwise, i dunno, but its the best to use the same imo
Parent
what? uncompressed is uncompressed :D
it's just bigger so I thought it's better somehow
Parent
OH NO IT ISNT, since you already compressed it in vdub :D
Parent
a bigger file ?
Parent
bol je da uporabs uncompresed =) v vegasu
Parent
1 - vdub ->huffyuv 2.1.1
2 - vegas -> uncommpresed
3 - megui -> HQ-slow + bit rate 3900

hf
always use huff, no need for uncompressed
