you're not on msn, fag!
possible, but you should stay with 500hz :-)
posible, but not very stable afaik!
I'd stick with 500HZ. People have 'blown' their mx518 up forcing it to 1000HZ. So play it safe. 1000HZ is less stable.
actually 500hz isnt that stable either :-9

currently playing @ 500hz - best way 4 mouse
is it possible to get 1000hz with mx518 ? - yes but it will be worse than on 500 (when u set usb clock on 1000hz mx518 will get around 800 hz - not recommended, more unstable)
does it just smooth the movement? - best way is just 500hz
any differences @ sens? - even if we could get 1000hz u wouldn't see much difference between each other clock (4ms@1ms response time - Human eye can't see differences)

and the next thing is that Processor (CPU) is very weighted

if u re using 500 @ win - open Manager of task (ctrl+alt+del) => then "Usage of processor" and when u will fastly move ur mouse look on usage percentage of processor - that will explain a lot (more hz = more processor usage)
that is problem 4 people who have 1 processor on boar
but for that who have duo or quad is not ;)

Conclusion:
mx518@500hz = best mouse 4 today (beat razers, and every laser shit)
I use 1000hz, and i like it
