I was never an admin, and I probably wouldn't work as one: anyone who posted a frivolous journal or a comment in a language other than english, would be banned as fast as I could manage. Also, I usually discriminate against morons, xfire would end up with about a tenth of the users it has right now.

Not particuarly, hopefully I'll get 2 A's and a B, then I can just continue to worry about loans and how I'll buy enough drugs and alcohol to make the 4 years tolerable.

Good idea. A friend of mine was very distracted in his fifth year at school and it showed in his results, but in sixth year he had no distractions...got on with it, and is starting his 3rd year in Computer Science at St. Andrews University.

I had friends who did what I had done, but got worse grades after the first year. They carried on and are now doing foundation degrees at what used to be a shitty polytechnic.

All depends on what you want to do. For you, it's physics (I think) but different paths can lead to greater outcomes. I'm reminded of a comment during the 'The Debate' episode in Series 7 of The West Wing where the opposition candidate mentions that there are some plumbers in America who make more money than dentists. It's not unlikely.

I went to University for a year, hopefully you won't have to put up with pseudo-intellectual idiots like I did though. I got out of that diddy course soon enough though. :-D

For me it isn't so much about the money, more aboue meeting some people whose interests don't consists soley of going out, getting drunk and taking drugs. I'm not really big on material posessions, not in a moralistic way, I just find I don't need that many things.

I think that's where I went wrong. It was full of too many people who wanted to be a student, but weren't really bothered about what it was they studied.

Exactly.

With Arts and Social Sciences you didn't need a specialist subject. For example, I never studied Geography at school, even though I studied it at university. I only needed Higher English (I got a B), and if you're studying a language (which I did) a B at Higher for the language.

I'm better at practical things like Music and Drama, although I've gained a recent interest in sciences...that'll be no more than a casual hobby though.

Arts and Social Sciences at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow - Psychology, Sociology, Politics, Geography and French.

In retrospect, I guess Psychology was mildly interesting...Politics was really good, but Sociology and Geography were crap, and French was only okay.

It was mainly the people that turned me off though. I couldn't spend 4 years with 90% of them.

hellgoat is meant to moderate the movie section I think, but got bored of that after about 12 seconds. arni sits around at the LAN events drinking and pretending that he's helping keep ETTV working. Aside from that, they're all just as useless as me.
