Sound settings help (skype)

This isn't for me but for a friend of mine so i'm not sure about the full condition of the problems, but what it comes to is:

- Incoming sound is very distant
- Outgoing sound is very distant for the person receiving it
- At some point incoming sound did come through very loud (like me talking)

For the smart ones out there, we did change several settings already, and it works fine on her laptop, but not on her normal pc.

At some point we changed a few settings and i could hear her better, but she had to shout a bit and i had my volume on it's fullest. So my request is if someone could give a detailed (or a bit detailed) walkthrough which could fix this abd is easy to explain on chat or over voice communication.
