> Headset <

I had been using SteelSound 5H v2 until it stopped working properly few days ago and I'm considering buying a new headset. The models that I'm thinking of in particular are:

Beyerdynamic DT 440
Sennheiser HD280 Pro

If you use any of these, please let me know if they are good/bad. Feel free to suggest some other headphones as well.

I can give you nice tips for 10 euros.
I also want a new headset.. Some friends have told me that Steelsound is good for gaming, is this true?
Well, I liked it when it worked.

So its worth the money?
My old headset (Logitech USB) hurts when I wear it for some hours, and therefor I want a new, SteelSound doesnt hurt, does it?
Parent
It doesn't, I find it really comfortable.

Okay, thank you. =)

I've been testing Beyerdynamic, Steelsound, Speedlink, and Shure headsets lately. Beyerdynamic stuff is really comfortable, but the mic is fucking terrible, actual sound quality wise it's okay but nothing special.

If you can afford it, I would go for any of these and use your steelsound mic.

On another note, my steelsound is broken as well, sound doesn't come out of one of the ears T_T.
I don't care about mics that much. I think I'd rather buy headphones and use a table microphone than go for a gaming headset. What really matters to me is the comfort of use and sound quality.

Is the sound quality better in Beyerdynamic compared to SteelSound?

I have exactly the same problem with my 5H v2 :c

Beyerdynamic comfort wise is the best headset I've used by far. It's really light, clamps lightly on your head and covers your ears, but the cups are smaller than the Steelsound (at least the one I used).

Sound quality I would say the Beyerdynamic is slightly better, but it's marginal. I guess this depends on what you will be using along side it.

I'm starting to get the same problem. -.-

Need to fiddle at the scroll wheel that's on the cable till I have sound @ both earpieces.

Mine is near where the jacks are, and I can't get the sound on all the type. I've stopped using it, but hopefully I should be able to get a new one for free so it's not so bad. :P

random google site for deejays. if you want the best sound quality, go for DJ headphones. i've only ever used denon, and they outstrip my gaming headset by far lul

i heard the best are denon and sennheiser
I've got a Sennheiser HD555. Before I had a PC150.
I really like it, it's not too heavy and comfortable, although I wear glasses atm. The ear pads surround your ears instead of sitting on top of them, which is really nice.
It's an open headphone, that means you can hear what's happening around you and others can hear what you listen to when you raise the volume. I prefer the sound of open headphones, because imo it is more clear.
sony mdr-xd100 or 200, about 20-30e np, i like u.
Like i said like 50x and i will say it once more canyon CN-HS3 > all
u can get em for 20-40€ and u wont be sory ... belive me :/ ... i have them now like 3 years and still working more that OK
You're playing for dignitas, and you need to buy a headset on your own? :'( shit-clan! :')
